About

Where it all began

Welcome to Honey Coastal Country - your home of fashion, accessories and beauty that embodies the sweetness of coastal country life. Based on the childhood dream of best friends Elle and Mel, and inspired by Elle’s beautiful mum Sooz, Honey is a family affair built on a love of creativity and our shared passion to bring a little something special to all women, regardless of age or body shape.

Meet Elle & Mel

Elle

After 27 years as a personal hairstylist and retailer Elle decided it was time to make her dream reality and step into her own space where she could use her innate ability to style any woman.

Mel

Mel, a registered psychologist, teacher and dancer of 25 years who has spent her adult life helping, dreamed of using her understanding of fashion and people to do something creative and joyous.

As little girls we played in our make-believe shoe store, designing and dreaming…..as best friends with a shared love of fashion we made quite the shopping power duo!

Honey Costal Country was born

Having seen each other through marriage, children and the highs and lows of life it seemed natural to combine our skills to achieve our dream to help others look and feel their best. The result of our life long friendship is Honey Coastal Country - a place where we celebrate the beautiful part of the world we call home, focus on creating a family of customers and curate collections that look as fabulous as they feel to wear.

As women who love the shopping moment, we have committed ourselves to create an experience that enables women to feel supported, luxurious, lose themselves in our beautiful collections and treat themselves the way they should. We believe at our core that women are all things to all people first and foremost, and that we often forget ourselves in that process.

Honey Coastal Country is a place where you can remember yourself, celebrate your worth and be part of a family of women who know they deserve to be their best.

Community Involvement

Living in a regional area, we have strong ties to important charity initiatives and community events that have continued as the business has grown.  Every October the whole town of Berry turns PINK to raise money for breast cancer research and Honey Coastal Country is proud to be part of the Pink Up Berry campaign in support of the McGrath Foundation. As a local dance teacher Mel volunteers her time every year to take part in the NSW Cancer Council Stars Dance for Cancer event. This event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars each year that go directly into local services and supports the amazing ongoing research and development efforts of the Cancer Council. In 2022, Elle was nominated as a Star in the event and was paired with Mel to take to the stage for her first ever live performance. As you can see from the pictures we gave it our all and loved having the opportunity as best friends to be part of this much loved and beneficial local event. Honey Coastal Country proudly supports locals having a go and contribute where we can, helping keep our community vibrant and thriving.
